Infiniti G20, SR20de engine, Manual transmission. A friend is offering me his G20 for $800. My cousin gets his license in a month and has shown interest in the car. Should he do it?

It's apparently mechanically sound. Small tear in the drivers seat but besides that clean interior. Currently has no exhaust, definitely gonna have to be taken care of. I think it has 160k on it. For $800, I'd do it. It's not a show car by any means, but it doesn't look like it's only worth $800! Roof and wheels are currently plasti dipped black.

running car for under $100? Manual? I could go on, but these are both more than enough reason to go for it. If anything, you could have fun with it, and clean it up to sell for at least that.

$800 for a running car is a pretty good deal no matter what the car.

I've always had a thing for the G20.

I think they're great looking little sedans, and the SR20DE is a solid motor with lots of aftermarket support. I'm surprised there aren't modified G20s out there. I sold the 17" wheels off my '00 Corolla (my brother had put them on there) to a kid with a manual G20 that had a custom exhaust system and some other mods; it was a pretty nice little car.

I almost bought one of those a few years back, but I couldn't find one that had a clean title and less than 180,000 miles on it for under $3500. For $800, I'd be willing to overlook just about any number of miles.

As you probably already know, the chassis of the G20 is a Nissan Primera, which was never sold in the US. They handle surprisingly well.
